TisF is catching up with the CupcakeStop in NYC.
It’s a well known fact that New Yorkers are always on the go. The CupcakeStop believes that despite this, everyone deserves to indulge themselves with a gourmet snack. That’s why they decided to take their delectable cupcakes, baked fresh daily from the highest quality ingredients, and load them onto New York’s first mobile cupcake shoppe. The CupcakeStop Truck offers a convenient way for even the busiest and discerning New Yorkers to enjoy a delicious cupcake.
CupcakeStop Ceo, Lev Ekster launched New York City’s first high end mobile gourmet cupcake truck CupcakeStop on June 3rd. Lev was born in L’vov Ukraine in 1983. He lived in Austria and Italy before moving to Brooklyn in 1990. Ekster attended Ithaca College and New York Law School and graduated in May 2009. At Ithaca College, Ekster graduated with a BS in Business Administration as a Management major and Legal Studies minor. Lev missed NYC’s nightlife and formed 100 Proof Promotions to organize events for fellow students at local venues and employed over 20 classmates. He then moved back to New York City to attend New York Law. While there, he started his first online business called Outlines.com, a one-stop-shop for law school related resources.
Lev was on his way to securing a position at a major international law firm, but the change in the economy took that off the table. During late nights studying, Ekster would take breaks to trek to a popular bakery to wait in line for a sweet treat, but was disappointed with what was supposed to be the “best of the best” the city had to offer. Lev decided he could do better. Thus, the concept for CupcakeStop was born. New York City’s first mobile cupcake truck offers high end, delicious, fresh-baked cupcakes of every variety.
He went through the daunting start-up procedures, securing a seemingly non-existent vendor license and staffing permits, obtained and wrapped the enormous new truck with the company’s signature logo that he designed. He created and launched the company’s website www.cupcakestop.com and then personally taste-tested nearly 1,000 cupcakes until he found the perfect fit, hiring Chef Manal Mady. Lev plans to donate any left over cupcakes from the day to City Harvest, the New York based non-profit organization dedicated to feeding the homeless.
Now that is Fabulous!
